Play Picks – Kierstyn’s Weekly Movie/ TV Show Recommendation:  Love is Blind

Alright, buckle up, we need to talk about the absolute rollercoaster that was Love is Blind season 6 ( no spoilers, don’t worry). I’m talking more drama than a Real Housewives reunion, more twists and turns than a soap opera, and more tears than a Nicholas Sparks novel. If you need something to binge this weekend, this is it!

If you have yet to ever watch Love is Blind, you gotta start asap… if you want. There are a bunch of singles that all speed date to find a match and fall in love — without ever seeing each other face-to-face. It’s an attempt to find out if love is truly blind. Is an emotional connection more important than physical attraction? During the pod dates. It’s all through a wall and full of awkward conversations, cringe-worthy confessions, and moments of pure, unfiltered gold. It’s like Tinder, meets The Bachelor, meets “I think they need therapy,” and I am here for it. Once they find their match and get engaged, they can finally see each other face-to-face at the big reveal. After that, they go into the world together, live with each other and hope they make it down the isle and live happily ever after.

Now, I’ve kept up with every season. I’m now in the middle of watching season 6! I feel like I got a late start to it so I binged every episode up to now on Saturday/Wednesday. Episode 10 and 11 come out on February 28th, and the last episode is here March 6th. First off, can we talk about the couples this season? I feel like the men are very ” meh” as usual but the women actually seem to be there for a good reason! It feels like they’re actually looking for a real connection and not just clout. Although, don’t get me started on the love… star, I guess you could say, between Jimmy, Trevor, Chelsea and Jessica. It’s a big case of ” the one that got away.” I think they all ended up with the wrong person and it literally made me wish I could yell at them through the TV lol.

So, if you’re looking for your next guilty pleasure binge-watch, look no further than Love is Blind season 6. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. And hey, if nothing else, at least you’ll feel better about your own love life. My boyfriend always says I’ve watched too much of it when I start telling him that I appreciate him every two seconds.

This week, I recommend Love is Blind, It’s on Netflix! Check it out.
