U-Haul Hit-And-Run Suspect Has Been Arrested

More pictures have been released of the man thought to be involved in the U-Haul police chase in South-East Edmonton on the weekend. Please contact EPS or Crime Stoppers if you have any information on this man’s whereabouts. During the chase a 45-year-old woman got out of her car to investigate flattened tires punctured by an RCMP spike belt laid down within Edmonton city limits and was struck and killed by the driver of the U-Haul. Kassandra Gartner was a mother of 3, and the executive director of the food bank in Fort Saskatchewan, Alta. There will be an outdoor candle light vigil, on Thursday at 630pm at Fort Saskatchewan City Hall, and they’ll be accepting donations to the Fort Sask food bank.

The suspect has been arrested. More details coming this afternoon.
