‘Supersize Me’ Morgan Spurlock Has Passed Away At 53

Spurlock is best known for his documentary film “Super Size Me” (2004), where he gained significant attention for his experiment of eating only McDonald’s food for 30 days. He has since produced and directed numerous documentaries, TV shows, and films.

“It was a sad day, as we said goodbye to my brother Morgan,” his brother Craig Spurlock to the outlet. “Morgan gave so much through his art, ideas and generosity. Today the world has lost a true creative genius and a special man. I am so proud to have worked together with him.”

“Super Size Me” was nominated for an Academy Award.

Morgan died of cancer complications Thursday, according to his family.
