Fringe season is officially here, and this year, there’s a very familiar voice hitting the stage. Our very own afternoon drive host, Ty Jordan, is trading the Play 107 studio for the spotlight in a wildly anticipated 2026 Edmonton Fringe reunion!
“I’m excited to be back at the Edmonton Fringe, also kind of nervous – but that makes for the best improv!”
Once upon a young, beer-filled time back in 2010, a group of childhood friends had a dream: learn improv and perform at the Fringe together. That dream became the original lineup of BEERprov. The premise was simple but brilliant—grab some drinks with good friends and laugh together through a chaotic and hilarious series of short-form improv games.
Eventually, the group evolved into Go 4 Broke Productions, performing together for a solid decade and delivering completely sold-out Fringe smash hits like Improv Against Humanity and Drinking At the Movies (both earning stellar ★★★★ reviews from Vue Weekly).
Then, life happened. Between a global pandemic, parenthood, career advancements, and all of life’s everyday messiness, the crew took a step back. But now, after a seven-year hiatus, they are finally back together on stage.
This year’s show is a massive celebration of their early years. It is exactly what you want from a Fringe run: a wild, unpredictable comedy show rooted in deep, long-term friendship.
Want to see Ty and the rest of the Go 4 Broke crew in action? It’s a show called BEERprov – you’re gonna get exactly what you expect and then some!
